They Are Blacker Than me
我问一个黑人他对中国印象如何，他说：我恨城管！我问何故，他用普通话解释：我以为我已经够黑了，谁知道城管比我还黑！
I asked an African American about what he think of China, he said:“I hate the urban management personnel” I was confused. He explained in Mandarin：“I thought I was black enough, but who knows the urban management personnel are blacker than me!”
It is known that the African Americans’ skin are black, but why the urban management personnel are black, too and even blacker?
Because black 黑 in Chinese can also mean wicked, sinister. For example, the original price of the book you want to buy is 10 yuan, but the seller ask you for 30 yuan because you are a foreigner, then you could say“你太黑了”， you are too wicked.
It seems that our Chinese Chengguan don’t have a good name. The foreigner’s meaning is I thought I was black enough, but who knows the urban management personnel are more black-hearted than I'm black-skinned!
