a - Open your mouth widely with the tongue in the lowest vertically. The lips are not rounded. Like a in father.
o - Contract the tongue toward the root direction and at the same time raise the tongue to the half-high position and round your lips. The mouth is half open. Like oor in poor.
e - Contract the tongue toward the root direction and at the same time raise the tongue to the half-high position. Stretch the corners of the mouth towards two sides slightly. The lips are not rounded. The mouth is half open. Like ir in girl.
i - Place your tongue in the high position and the tongue should touch the back of the lower front teeth, at the same time, stretch the corners of the mouth towards two sides. Like ea in beat.

ai - As soon as the "a" sound is made, close the mouth gradually to the position of producing another simple vowel "i", and pronounce the "i" very shortly and lightly. like ai in aisle
ei - As soon as the "e" sound is made, close the mouth gradually to the position of producing another simple vowel "i", and pronounce the "i" very shortly and lightly. Like ay in way.
uei - Producing this sound requires pronouncing the Chinese simple vowel "u", followed by the compound "ei".
ao - First, pronounce the simple vowel "a" and gradually switch to the sound "u". The "a" should be produced louder and longer while "u" is lighter and shorter. Like ow in power.
ou - Pronounce the simple vowel "o" and gradually switch to the sound "u". The "o" should be produced louder and longer while "u" is lighter and shorter. Like oa in goal.
