女人味

Women's Smell

丈夫：老婆，你总是吃榴莲，我实在受不了那个味道，你能不能少吃点？

妻子：不行。你不是总要让我做个有味道的女人吗？

Husband：Honey, you always eat durians and I really can’t stand the smell any more. Can you not eat them so frequently?

Wife：No. Don't’t you always want me to be a women that has some smell?

I’m sure the husband never have that meaning. Let’s look at a Chinese word first 女人味, 女人means women 味 meas smell taste aroma. It’s a noun, when we say a women has 女人味, that mean the women has some womenly qualities and temparements and is very atrractive to men.

Now, there is another thing, do you know what is durian? Well, it’s a kind of fruit, and people who eat them will have a bad breath.

So the wife is amusing her husband“you want me to have some 女人味,woman’s flavor? Then I am being a women that has some smell, smell of durians”
