“Fairly, Comparatively” 比较

The original meaning of 比较 is to compare. However, 比较 means “relatively” or “comparatively” if it is used as an adverb. You can think of it this way:

A is better than B →→A is better comparatively.
A比B好。→A比较好。

Example：
我爸爸比我高。→ 我爸爸比较高。
My father is taller than me. →My father is quite tall.

Substitutive drills:
定期的利率比活期高。            定期的利率比较高。
信用卡比支票方便。       →     信用卡比较方便。
今天比昨天热。                      今天比较热。
