天津tianjin

天津市是中国北方最大的沿海开放城市，海拔2-5米，素有“渤海明珠”之称。属暖温带半湿润大陆性气候，四季分明，年平均气温在13℃以上。7月气温最高，在26℃以上，1月气温最低，在-4℃以下。年降雨量为500--700毫米。春、秋两季是游览天津的最好季节。天津有汉、回、朝鲜、满、蒙等民族居住。

天津原来是海，地下至今仍可以找到鲸、海豚等海生动物遗骸和种类繁多的贝壳。天津地区的形成始于隋朝大运河的开通。唐中叶以后，天津成为南方粮、绸北运的水陆码头。一直到元朝，都是军事重镇和漕粮转运中心。明永乐二年（1404年）筑城设卫，称“天津卫”。17世纪以来，天津地区城市规模不断扩大。1860年被辟为通商口岸，成为当时中国仅次于上海的第二大工商业城市和北方最大的金融商贸中心。30年代中期，天津有华资银行10家，外资银行16家，商号17000多家，外贸出口占全国总量的25%。

天津是渤海湾最大的港口城市，海岸线长152.8公里，陆界长700多公里。距北京120公里。天津港是中国北方最大的综合性贸易港口，与世界上170多个国家和地区的300多个港口保持着贸易往来。目前，天津已形成以港口为中心的海陆空相结合、立体式的综合性的现代化的运输网络。天津海岸带有广阔的海岸环境容量，有丰富的渔业、矿产、海水和旅游资源。
