The extended use of “下午”

The complex directional complement “下去”expresses the continuation of an action. “V /A + 下去” indicates that an action which has already started will continue, or that a condition which has already come into being will last. For example,

有意思，请说下去。
陈老师吃了羊肉以后，四位小姐又接着唱下去，
大家只要学下去，就一定能学会。
