Either “不…不…” or “ 没有…不…” can be used to form a double negation in a sentence. In usage, the double negation is usage, the double negation is usually an emphatic expression of an affirmative statement, for example, 她是新娘的好朋友,不能不参加这个婚礼。(她一定要参加这个婚礼。) 这个消息他不会不知道。(他一定知道) 陈老师跟大家一起去内蒙旅游,全班同学没有一个不高兴的。(人人都高兴。) 一般地说, 男人能做的工作没有妇女不能做的。(妇女都能做。)
要是……,就…… The construction “要是…,就…” The construction means “ if…,then …”. Then conjunction “要是” is used in conditional clauses. It has the same meaning as “如果”, and id often paired with “就”. This construction is frequently used in spoken Chinese, and “的话” may be added to the end of the “要是” clause, for example,
要是你生活在中国人的家里, 就会发现丈夫每天也要下厨房。 要是明天下雨,我们就不去爬山了。 要是你明天没有空儿的话,我们就改个时间跟他们见面。
只有…, 才… The construction “只有…, 才…” The conjunction “只有” introduces an exclusive situation. It is used in conjunction with the adverb “才”, which appears in the main clause, and indicates the subsequent result of the initial condition, for example,
只有在各方面男女都享受同样的权利,才能有男女平等。 妇女只有社会地位提高了,在家里的地位才能提高。 只有您去请他,才能把他请来。 只有发展高科技,才能比较快地发展经济。 只有多读、多听、多说,才能学好一种外语。
