The conditional construction “如果…就..”

The first clause introduced by the conjunction “如果” presents a condition, and the second clause denotes the result that is brought about by the first clause. The adverb “就”（3）in the second clause often indicates a conclusion derived from the conditional clause. The word“如果” in the first clause may be omitted, for example:

如果明天天气不好，我们就不去了。
如果有问题，你就打电话找我。
（如果）你昨天来，你就看见他了。
