V+ 得/不+complement
“V+ 得/不+complement” is the form of potential complement. If you wish to express an action’s potential result which may or may not be accomplished by one’s capability, you may simply insert 得 with the sense of “be able to” between the first verb and the complement to indicate a positive potential, or insert a不to indicate a negative potential result. So , 得and 不are the markers of a potential complement, and a positive form with a negative form can make a question, such as 打得开打不开?
