Want and Help
Want / Would Like to 想(xiǎng)
The usage of 想(xiǎng) 想(xiǎng) is placed before other verbs to express wishes or desires.
Examples: 1, I would like to drink a glass of cola. 我(wǒ) 想(xiǎng) 喝(hē) 一(yī) 杯(bēi) 可(kě) 乐(lè) 。
2, He would like to read books in the library. 他(tā) 想(xiǎng) 去(qù) 图(tú) 书(shū) 馆(guǎn) 看(kàn) 书(shū) 。
3, My father wants to open an account at Bank of China. 我(wǒ) 爸(bà) 爸(bɑ) 想(xiǎng) 在(zài) 中(zhōng) 国(guó) 银(yín) 行(háng) 开(kāi) 账(zhàng) 户(hù) 。
To Help 帮(bāng)
The usage of 帮(bāng) 帮(bāng), a transitive verb, can have a direct object, such as please help me (请(qǐng) 你(nǐ) 帮(bāng) 我(wǒ)) . It can also followed by a “pivotal” object to express “help someone do something”
Examples: 1, He helped me carry the luggage. 他(tā) 帮(bāng) 我(wǒ) 拿(ná) 行(xíng) 李(lǐ) 。
2, I helped my mother clean up the house. 我(wǒ) 帮(bāng) 妈(mā) 妈(mɑ) 打(dǎ) 扫(sǎo) 房(fáng) 子(zi) 。
3, My elder sister helped my mother prepare dinner. 姐(jiě) 姐(jie) 帮(bāng) 妈(mā) 妈(mɑ) 做(zuò) 晚(wǎn) 饭(fàn) 。
