       齐国有个人一心想得到金子。一天，他清早起来，穿好衣，戴好帽，一直走到卖金子的地方，看见有人拿着金子，伸手就夺, 官吏把他逮住捆绑起来，问道："这么多人都在这儿，你为什么公然抢人家的金子？"他回答说：" 我根  本   就没有看到人， 眼睛里只有金子。"寓意：利欲熏心的人往往会丧失理智，做出愚蠢的事情来。

                               
                                      Lust for gain

In the state of Qi, there was a man who always desired to get gold. One day, he got up early in the morning, and put on his clothes and his hat. Then he walked straight toward the market where gold was sold. He saw someone with gold, and immediately captured it.

Officials caught him, tied him up and asked: "There are so many people here, why did you blatantly rob other people’s gold?"

He replied: "I simply did not see people. There is only gold in my eyes."

Meaning: greedy people tend to lose their senses and make stupid mistakes.
