The indefinite pronoun “某” is used in front of a noun. It can be followed by the numeral “一” or “几” and a measure word. It is often used in written language to denote as unspecified person or object, for example,

When used to refer to a person or an organization \institution, “某” can be duplicated, but the noun it modifies remains singular; for example, “某某人，某某同学，某某学校，某某单位”.
