Wang Fuzhi

Wang Fuzhi (1619-1692) was an important thinker of late Ming and early Qing Dynasties from Hengyang, Hunan.

He was once enthusiastic for the anti-Qing movements. When they failed, he became a hermit, commonly known "Scholar Chuanshan", and dedicated himself to writing.

Academically speaking, Wang Fuzhi inherited and further developed the materialism of his predecessors and established the system of Simple Materialism. He believes that the world is material; material is primary and eternal.

王夫之（1619--1692）湖南，衡阳人，是一位明代后期到清朝早期的重要思想家。
他曾经热衷于反清运功。当他失败后就隐居了起来，以“穿山居士”闻名，后致力于写作。
